So, we took our yoppy daddy Anthony out yesterday, we threw a surprised party for him at Monty buffet, he turned 50.
He was dead surprised and sincerely grateful. Our lovely Mummy K joined in the plan so it worked out perfectly.
The love they both expressed was like they just got married, 24 years of marriage and the love still dey shine like a diamond, believe me friends, I am still tripping BIGTIME 🙂
I learnt from them yesterday that real love is not just an euphoric extemporaneous feeling, it is a thoughtful choice, it is a plan to love each other regardless…real love is constant, sure and true…if you loose your way and you are confused, you will find strength in the love that you have chosen.
Besides, life already gives plenty of freedom, rejection, heartache, disappointment, illness, and so much…it is so impossible to abandon a ship anytime we encounter a storm in our homes, real love will weather the storm of life together regardless…
I read somewhere that love is so much more than some random, ecstatic feeling. And real love is not always fluffy, cute, and cuddly. More often than not, real love has it sleeves rolled up, dirt and grime smeared on its arms, and sweat dripping down its forehead. Real love asks us to do hard things like, to forgive one another, to support our partner’s dreams, to comfort in times of grief, or to care for family. Real love is not easy, it is nothing like the wedding day, but it is far more meaningful and wonderful.
Real love is an unconditional commitment to an imperfect person, so if you really love someone, commit to that love and plan on it being hard work.
Lessons learnt from yesterday’s birthday outing will be cherished forever.
